ALL BEEF BURGERS ARE GIVE BACK BURGERS IN SUPPORT OF ANDERSON HOUSE!

Once again for PEI Burger Love, all restaurants agree to donate one dollar ($1 CDN) from each PEI Burger Love burger sold during the one-month campaign to Anderson House!

Plus thanks to the support of PEI beef producers, PEI Burger Love 2025 will once again be a celebration of Island Beef with all burgers featuring 100% Island Beef!

HOW RESTAURANTS CAN PARTICIPATE!

1) To participate in PEI Burger Love 2025, all restaurants agree to donate one dollar ($1 CDN) from each PEI Burger Love beef burger sold during the one-month campaign to Anderson House. All donations are to be fulfilled prior to May 31st, 2025. Anderson House will mail out tax receipts for your donation after they are deposited.

2) For 2025 and to assist us with the management and promotion of the campaign, registration also includes an initial $200 (no HST) admin fee which comes with a tax receipt. This fee is separate from each restaurant's commitment for the $1 per burger sold.

3) In partnership with PEI beef producers, participating restaurants must serve up Island Beef burgers for the 2025 campaign with beef sourced from accredited suppliers.

4) To officially sign-up, restaurants must complete our registration form before FEBRUARY 24th, 2025 to secure their spot; please click the below button to access the form.

RESTAURANT REGISTRATION DEADLINE - FEBRUARY 24th @ 4pm

COMPLETED BURGER PROFILE FORM - MARCH 3rd @ 4pm
This is the online form where you submit all your business and burger details including your burger photo; you have until MARCH 3rd to finalize just what you're cooking up! The Burger Profile Form link will be emailed after you've officially registered.

CAMPAIGN LAUNCH - 12am on APRIL 1st

CAMPAIGN CLOSING - 11:59pm on APRIL 30th

TOTAL BURGER NUMBERS - MAY 1st to MAY 4th
Emailing the total number of burgers you sold during the campaign; these numbers for internal use only and for determining Give Back Burger totals.

MOST LOVED BURGER ANNOUNCEMENT - TUESDAY, MAY 6th
Winner of Most Loved Burger will be announced the evening of TUESDAY, MAY 6th; time TBD.

We request all donations to Anderson House be submitted prior to May 31st, 2025.

BEEF BURGER ENTRY OVERVIEW

  • In partnership with PEI beef producers, you must Island Beef as the main ingredient for the burger patty. You can season the burger as you wish, and you can grind the beef with another protein for flavour, but 100% Island Beef must remain the primary ingredient.
  • Your Island Beef must be supplied via an approved PEI Cattle Producers' Abattoir or Direct Marketer, and you must indicate the name of this provider as part of our official BURGER PROFILE FORM emailed to you with your official registration invoice. Your beef supplier must remain the same during the campaign.
  • Your entry must be new creation; it cannot be a burger currently on your menu or a creation which was used in a previous PEI Burger Love campaign.
  • The burger must be a single creation, stacked like a typical burger and it must be able to stand upright on a plate; aka no sliders and not within a wrap or pita.
  • While you may serve your burger open-face style during the campaign, all burgers will be photographed and marketed fully assembled and stacked. The patty or filet must be visible to the customer; aka not wrapped within dough like a panzerotti.
  • Choice of bun is up to each restaurant but the burger must be presented stacked and customers must be able to pick up the burger with their hands to consume it.
  • NOTE: PEI Burger Love may edit supplied ingredient list for consistency to ensure local supplier(s) are highlighted, and to remove specific corporate brand names.
  • All PEI Burger Love creations must be sold and served to the purchasing customer as depicted in the official photo with all ingredients present.
  • ANY CUSTOMER-REQUESTED MODIFICATIONS TO YOUR BURGER INGREDIENTS (I.E. REMOVAL OF A SPECIFIC INGREDIENT DUE TO AN ALLERGY) IS SOLELY AT THE DISCRETION OF EACH RESTAURANT.

  • MORE THAN ONE RESTAURANT LOCATION: If you have more than one PEI location of the same brand, it is expected that additional locations will sell the identical burger entry. If any additional location has a different burger, this is considered a separate entry with second admin registration.

BURGER PRICING

  • To best assist restaurant's commitment to donating $1 dollar from every burger sold to Anderson House, PRICING OF PEI BURGER LOVE BURGER IS AT THE DISCRETION OF EACH RESTAURANT. For 2025, there is once again no minimum/maximum price for burgers.
  • You must sell your PEI Burger Love entry as a standalone purchase; aka customers can purchase only your burger entry without requiring to also purchase a side or beverage.
  • GLUTEN FREE PRICING: Offering a gluten-free option of your burger is at your discretion, and restaurants can adjust pricing for a gluten-free option at their discretion with $1 per sale still committed to Anderson House.

NAMING YOUR BURGER ENTRIES

  • Each PEI Burger Love burger is to have its own 'name' which will be used to assist in marketing each entry.
  • PEI Burger Love is a fun, family-friendly event and all names should adhere to this spirit. Should Anderson House deem that any submitted burger name not be in the spirit of the campaign, we will discuss issues directly with restaurants for a new name to be submitted. Specifically, the following are examples of names which would be rejected:
    • Any name which could be interpreted as sexual
    • Any name which has a possible vulgar interpretation
    • Any name which suggests being under the influence of alcohol or any other drug product
    • Names of any political figure or names that are legal trademarks; aka The RedBull Burger
    • Names of celebrities, entertainers or fictional characters which could result in trademark issues
    • Any name which could be deemed insensitive to specific groups, cultures, etc.
  • Should there be duplicate or very similar names submitted, the first restaurant to have their burger name submitted will retain the right to use that name in the 2025 campaign.

PHOTO SUBMISSION

THE LINK TO SUBMIT YOUR BURGER PHOTO WILL BE EMAILED AFTER RECEIPT OF EACH RESTAURANT'S REGISTRATION SUBMISSION.

PROMOTIONS

  • As per previous campaigns, PEI Burger Love restaurants are NOT allowed to leverage promotions or contests specific to their entry.
  • Within any social media post, you can reference that you're officially a part of 2025 PEI Burger Love but you CANNOT use a PEI Burger Love burger as a prize for any social media and/or promotional contests before or during the campaign. You can give away your standard gift cards as prizes, but nothing marketed as 'winning a PEI Burger Love burger' as a prize.
  • Additionally, it is not permitted to offer any sales or promotional offers for your PEI Burger Love entry; i.e. buy-one-get-one, buy-one-get-second-for-%-off, gifts with purchase, etc. You also cannot offer any coupons with the purchase of a PEI Burger Love burger to be used within your restaurant post campaign.
  • Consistent with how PEI Burger Love has been marketed since the first campaign, we do not allow participating restaurants to reveal any aspect of their entry prior to the launch of the campaign; the reveal is part of the fun and launch for the campaign.
  • However, you may promote your participation immediately after you've completed all aspects of HOW TO REGISTER; see section for full registration details.
  • TRADEMARK: Only PEI Burger Love produced marketing materials may use the PEI Burger Love registered trademark. For any internally produced marketing materials, it cannot include the PEI Burger Love logo at any time. PEI Burger Love reserves the right to ask for non-authorized marketing to be removed at any time.

PROMOTIONAL BENEFITS

By participating in PEI Burger Love, your restaurant brand will receive:

  • Month-long marketing and promotion of your burger creation and restaurant throughout all marketing materials.
  • Restaurant name, contact information, Google Map, external link, and burger prominently profiled on PEIBurgerLove.ca; campaign consistently sees 250,000+ visits and over 1 million page views.
  • Profiled as a "Featured Burger" (date TBD) on PEI Burger Love's social media accounts : Combined, our PEI Burger Love social media channels have over 36,200 total engaged followers
  • Other marketing resources and opportunities, including:
    • Two (2) custom 11" x 17" Posters promoting each burger entry to place throughout your establishment
    • Facebook post image of your burger entry to use as a post image through your social accounts
    • Additional campaign-related tabloid Posters to be used within your restaurant
  • Burger entry included within our PEI Burger Love Guide

MOST LOVED BURGER!

  • Potential to be crowned the "MOST LOVED BURGER" for 2025 by the public through the campaign's "Rate Your Burger Love" portion of the website.
